What We Do

Monitor & Document

We systematically collect and verify human rights reports from the Middle East region, covering seven core issue areas including women's rights, press freedom, minority rights, digital surveillance, and more.

Analyze & Publish

Our team produces country-level profiles, thematic reports, and real-time alerts on emerging human rights crises. All publications are freely accessible.

Connect & Empower

We bridge the gap between local civil society organizations and the international human rights community, providing resources, visibility, and advocacy tools.

How We're Run

Governance

The Observatory operates under an independent editorial board that sets research priorities and ensures methodological rigor. Day-to-day operations are managed by a core team of researchers, analysts, and technologists.

Funding

We are funded through grants from independent foundations and individual donations. We do not accept funding from any government entity or organization with a political agenda in the Middle East region. All funding sources are publicly disclosed.

Methodology

Our reporting follows international human rights monitoring standards. All information is sourced from verified primary documents, credible media outlets, established NGOs, and direct witness accounts where available.
